favorite 1-60 zone would be trisfal glade. Im a huge fan of the undead race and with the need brill OMG 😀

My favorite 1-60 zone would have to had been Stranglehorn Vale. The diversity in quests, the different scenery made it a very nice zone to be in. At lower lvls it was manageable right in the north part and as you progressed you where able to venture further and further south into even greater areas of the zone. I have spent many many hours down there back in vanilla days.

My favorite zone is Dun Morogh. I statred out with my first toon there and have most of my alt-toons resting there. One of the best parts of Dun Morogh is Brewfest! No other events like it in the WoW world.

My favorite zone is both of the new Barrens zones hands down. Since Vanilla, I’ve leveled too many alts to count and every one of them has been through The Barrens. It’s quite interesting to see The Barrens in a whole new light, as well as some of the old quest givers and their progress (Mankrik vowing revenge against the quillboars, etc). The quest flow and transitions are a lot better now as well, and of course there’s always Barrens chat 🙂

I believe the zone that I like the most is Duskwood. That may seem strange to many vanilla wow players, but I have always gone there with all my alliance toons. Leveling from 20 to 30 in the those errie woods, is something I look forward to. The new spells and powers that develop were always the most enjoyable part of leveling. The trips through the Darkbank collecting spider parts and wolf flanks while leveling cooking, mining, herbing, and/or skinning always proved lucrative in greens and vendor trash. I admit that I figured out early that a quick swim across the river from Sven’s camp to Sentinel Hill for vendor, repairs, and FP. Then to the Worgen quest areas as you run quests for Ambercrombie until finally dealing with his wife. And I would be remiss if I don’t mention Stitches. The terror of Darkshire that would pawn you as you walked through unaware and the first elite that I went back and killed when I hit 60. The upgrades in Cataclysm have brought the welcome vendors and FP in Ravenhill, making the cemetary an even better location to level. The trips through the graveyard and catacombs can now end a quicker and more profitable trip to a vendor in Ravenhill and back to questing. I always enjoyed the trips through Duskwood, even though I hear many complaints about how long they take, I think that Blizzard has successfully dealt with them with level 20 mounts and the new FP.

I definitely have to say Stratholme, the diversity of mobs and bosses and getting the keys opening the boxes lent itself to something far removed from the rest of the game. The look and feel of the place over the other dungeons, even to this day I felt was and still is one of the best pieces of work in the day.

I would say my fave 1-60 zone would be west fall. It was such a drastic change from walking out of elwynn forest onto this wide open farmland. The zone featured an asortment of fun things even after finishing the quests to give you reason to come back again which made it a great zone and the changes in cata just made it even better giving the whole zone a full story. If only that hadn’t killed poor old Blanchy.

      R.I.P. Old Blanchy

My favorite 1-60 zone is definitely Dun Morogh. I’ve always liked the quests there and each time I start a new character in that zone it feels like going home even though my first character ever didn’t start there. The icing on the cake is that it is the hotspot for Brewfest! Anyone else seeing those pink pachyderms? And come on Beer Goggles are hilarious! 🙂

i actually like the zone in Azshara, doing the faded wizard hat quest chain. especially doing Xylem’s Trials: fire, shadow, and frost. you can get an achievement for doing it correctly.

I would have to say that Stranglethorn Vale is my favorite area. There are a lot of interesting quests to complete and it is a great area for gathering profs. Additionally, the scenery is really awesome. For a favorite Dungeon I would have to say Scarlett Monestary. Great quests and just a great area to enjoy the game.

The orrigional Alterac Valley from Vanilla. It was awsome. 3-7 hour battles. Summoning LOK. Cany beat it.

My favorite is the Night Elf starting area… Because, it was by far the most fun I had before endgame even… Of course, it sucks unless you’re using the Dugi guides for help(: I love how the quests seriously vary, unlike other areas where all the quests are like “Go here, kill these, and loot those.” With your guide’s help, I sent me through tons of fun quests, where you control other creatures, remote control robots to blow up murlocs, and even going into the spirit world to get special buffs for that area, and for that, you guys helped me have by far the most fun there.

      Hello,
I have to say my favorite zone was Darkshore before Cata, and is still Darkshore.
I used to love the place, when you start having a few more spells anmd abilities, and you start having to decide how you want to fight, and start basically to forge your Toon.
It is the first zone I went into after Cata, just to see what they had done with the Quest hubs and the landscape.
And my god was this beautiful… I understood later on that I had chosen one of the most remodelled zones of the old ones (he he).

      AHOY!!! as Bud would say…

Oh back in the vanilla classic era I would have to say Hillsbrad Foothills near Tarren Mill would be my zone of choice. I remember so many PVP battles there and now it’s like non-existent and doesn’t happen any more. It’s also a shame that there wasn’t more interaction and build up between the Syndicate and Ravenholdt factions. Sort of made my rogue feel incomplete and unfinished. Now since CATA is out I would have to say Vash’jir, just love how they incorporated all the water. Makes me almost wish more of the area’s with water were more expansive with underwater areas to explore.

As for the Dungeon I would have to go with Scarlet Monastary, I heard about so much lore that happened there yet was unable to obtain the rare sword to watch the story unfold there. Of course there’s always YouTube but I think it would have a different feel if you were actually there witnessing it.

      Best Regards

My favorite 1-60 zone has to be a toss-up between both Plaguelands, however I’m not a fan of the Cataclysm changes making it a low level zone instead. I miss the days of running through Eastern Plaguelands in fear that the next turn I make will have the Scarlet Courier sending me back to the nearest graveyard (which at that time was much farther than it is today). I miss seeing Naxxramas towering above, and I miss killing the Scarlet members near Hearthglen for fun (not to mention some profit).

The Plaguelands zones will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the ‘final zones’ when I first maxed out a character and was one of the zones that you rarely spent a day farming or leveling without seeing a number of players, unlike zones today where you can actually level nearly the whole way to 85 and have the possibility of never seeing another player in your travels. While the Plaguelands have changed, they still hold some of the same “warming moments”, strangely even with the level range change on them it is one of the few zones that you do still stumble across other players rather often.

I would say that Stranglethorn Vale must be my favorite zone. I’ve always enjoyed questing in lush enviroments, with alot of bright colors and vivid ambient sounds. My favorite questline is also situated in Stranglethorn, the Nesingwary quests, with the Tiger/Panther/Raptor Mastery. It was always such an achievement finishing up each quest, eventually leading up to the big finale.

I also think that Blizzard did a good job with Stranglethorn Vale, I think that they now, after adding alot more quest hubs and flight paths have presented the zone in a way that does not make it seem just as tedious as people used to think it was. I personally enjoyed having to run from all the way north in STV to Booty Bay with no flightpaths and no mounts (pre level 40), I just enjoyed the scenery. And, after the shattering I took my time leveling my mining on my mage in Stranglethorn, and it still gives me this warm feeling that I think makes this game worthwile.

My favorite 1-60 dungeon is Deadmines. When I first started playing WoW I didn’t really know what dungeons where, so when I joined a group going to Deadmines I was completely amazed by the experience. It was also my first experience with a group, and a PUG no less. I was fortunate enough to end up with a great group. Although we wiped a couple of times before the end, the group held together and we completed the dungeon. From that point on, the game became a much more interesting experience for me. I still love running my low level toons through Deadmines. Even though VanCleef is gone, it’s still a great break from the low level questing. My experience in Deadmines was probably what hooked me in to WoW in the first place. Burning Crusade had just come out and after that first trip to Deadmines, I knew I would play WoW for a long time, so I bought the expansion and have been a steady player ever since.

The dungeon experience that I was introduced to in Deadmines had a lasting effect. In fact, I’ve recently gotten together with a group of friends (including my 10 year old son) to level a set of brand new toons from 15 to 85 using just dungeons, so the new Dungeon leveling guide will be a great value to us. I’m looking forward to seeing what it will do.

My favourite is Hellfire Penisula. I just like how the places is designed and when u look down at the edge.. its just purple.., i was just so shocked when i entered the portal. The place just looked like a gateway to ****. when i first walked in to the gate, there was this bigass monster with the skull ranking right infront of me… i was like IS THIS GUIDE WORKING PROPERLLY!?!?!. hehe 😀

Hmm my Favorite leveling zone, I would say Gilneas, yes the starter area of the Worgen. To me it was all new, I’ve done almost every char so far, except the ones that I didn’t want to do because I didn’t like the char. But to me Gilneas was the best so far. The reason for this is not only because it was new. But because the story line has an in depth story line that really got my attention. I loved how the cutscenes emerged and how it all began for the Worgen.

This was also the place I leveled with my brother, we both made Worgen’s and now were 85 with those and still digging it. Recently returned to Gilneas to see how it looked again. Brought back good memories.

In recent years, in days to come, in times gone by,
It’s Wetlands that I see here with my eye.
Thandol span where I came in, as horde. Forever truly!
Not for the sad impression of the green belt crossed,
not for the dangers of the alliance guards,
not for the creatures of this wretched land,
but for the joy and for the thrill of what’s to come…
The long passage of Dun Algaz, the dwarven wonder,
the lonely ram, a critter level five!
      The danger of many mountaineer,
“sneak by, sneak by or die!”: Is what I thought…
In times when Outland was still far and Northrend was a fog:
The horde, friendly silent but, no more… Those ****** dragonmaw!
And than the view! Are we half way there? Who knows! Oh Badlands is so far!
Another tunnel, another ram, another danger,
Loch modan! And still not there…
But what is there so far? The mighty dam!
Stonewrought lost, no more, so now we fly…
